Our House Has Gone To The Dogs!

This is the dish towel that The Cranky Queen made from scrap vintage flower sack fabrics, old buttons & a thrift store pillow case...

Don't you love the collar made from an old belt?

 Luv these doggie ashtrays!

New to my collection ~  the dog eating from the bowl
 Match Box Scotty Dog Holder
  Shelf of pooch collectibles
Sad little fella
This little hand~sewn poodle reminds me of Sassy!

Some of my favs sit on the shelf above!
Don't you just love the old "days of the week" linens???

The mustache brush Scotty was the 1st in the dog collection.  The little fabric dog in the center is a tape measure...you pull his tail!  The poodle is a German ornament given to me by Duchess Mel.

I purchased this Cocker Spaniel vintage wall lamp from Wanda over at Excuse Me While I Buy This Junk
This famous print hangs way up high over the door
We brought this rather interesting lithograph home from Cranky King's Grandmother's home in Missouri.  Grandma Steers is 104 years young!

This old planter is perfect for holding the bleach pen
& looks like my parents old dog, Freckles.
Another vintage linen rests in an old green dust pan that hangs from a hook

How funny is this chi card?!?  I framed it & hung it above my washer...It makes me smile every time I see it...doing laundry a little less "painful"~Ruff!

Mam, Is This Chair Taken?

Don't you just love all of the re-furbished, re-cycled, renovated furniture that is showing up EVERYWHERE from local antique malls to Pinterest?  Well, the Cranky Queen just finished her own version of saving the Earth, by restoring these thrift store finds & hauling to her antique booth!
These are what the chairs looked like before the restoration.I would have probably saved the finish, but they really had more than their share of "chigger bites" on them.

This is the lovely 1970's fabric above...
Finished product painted with white chalk paint, distressed, with a walnut stain.  The upholstered seats are more neutral for whomever thinks they are as fab at the Cranky Queen!
Ending this post with the adorable cocktail napkins that a gal pal mailed to me!

All You Need Is Love and A Little Creativity!

The Cranky Queen loves to "craft"...not your typical Grandma's crafts, but creative, inspiring, lil' on the funky side crafts...This Bee Mine Bumble was made by Tiff a few years ago when she was really into "grunging"...
Centerpiece on Breakfast Room Table
Vintage Valentine Clown...rescued from a yard sale
My hand~made Valentine from a heart-shaped tin mold, Graphics Fairy image, vintage buttons, yo yo, ribbons, & lace
Button flowers made during a gal pal's night out!

Grungy hearts with old cookie cutters and molds tucked into a wooden bowl! ~ All made by
The Queen of Crafts!
This burlap heart door hanger was created for a dear friend of mine who has been battling cancer, but winning the fight~
This burlap pillow is one I made & gave to another gal pal to brighten up her day!
SO, as the Day of Love Approaches, I hope everyone reaches out & shows love to someone (a spouse, child, grandchild, neighbor, friend, stranger or even your favorite pet).  Speaking of pets, Sassafrass is all ready for Valentine's Day after her visit to Sugar Cookies Pet Boutique!

Love Is In The Air...

Love is in the air at the Royal Cranky Castle...making the Cranky Queen much less cranky!  On behalf of this "holiday of love", she would like to show you some of the royal vintage Valentine decorations ....The smiling Cupid doll pictured above is one of her favorite Valentine's collectibles...his wings are a little tattered, but adorable just the same!
This centerpiece is on the kitchen island
This little fella is another fav!
My childhood Cupid doll

a Cupid cook cutter is tucked inside

These funky Valentines vintage elves were also found at an Estate Sale. Prince Logan says they are "Possessed Cupids" because of their eyes~LOL
A fun old Valentine postcard...love the dog...displayed in a rusty flower frog
Duchess Melanie gave this to me during a Valentines Vintage Swap one year. Much love went into crocheting this piece...if only it could talk!
Replicas of the popular Valentines Message Candies
Logan's 1st Valentines Day ~ 1995 ~ He was my Baby Cupid!

5 year old kindergarten ~ Valentines Day ~Year 2000

The Less Cranky Queen hopes you were inspired by her Valentine's Collectibles. Hopefully, she will post more before the BIG DAY OF LOVE.   So much to do...so little time, when you are The Queen!
