Bella Rustica Market - Beautiful Rust

The Cranky Queen & gal pal, Duchess Melanie, went on a royal road trip to Lebanon, TN for Bella Rustica Vintage Marketplace ~a wonderful show that was held at Legacy Farms.    Each year this show is held at a different "farm location" including barns, rolling pastures & hay.  Antiques, re-purposed & recycled items, fun & funky clothing, hand-made jewelry, cowgirl boots, art...& the list goes on and on...
Look at the entrance> From old rusty bed springs as the roof to torn pieces of flower sacks flapping in the breeze...
Lots of fun displays...

Creative Jewelry Display. Check out the cheese grater holding earrings!

Boots...any size, any color, any price!
Mel & I striking a pose before we melted in the heat~

Melanie snagged this awesome vintage "Jackson" spreader early in the show (Jackson is her grandson's name) & I found some great treasures from one of my favorite vendors, The Little Cowgirl.
This turquoise cuff is one of my favorite purchases from The Little Cowgirl, while the awesome ring was a "true find" at Antiques on Maple in Lebanon
Love this old fire engine peddle car. Wanted to take it back to the castle for Cranky King, but it was display only!
Shades of aqua & turquoise are definitely the popular decor colors!

I purchased one of these numbered bottles last year at the Strawberry Patch Barn Sale.
The Cranky Queen adores old clocks...really didn't need any more, but they just call her name!

The lovely painting above caught my eye immediately & I should have bought it. The artist is Alicia Raney ~The painting is still available. Now I just have to convince The Cranky King to opening the royal wallet~
I loved this pillow...this picture went in to my "I think I can make this" book~

The cute Package Drop Off Suitcase is an idea my gal pal, Witchy Wanda, & I will use for our new business Sentimental Suitcase Estate Sales.  I will be "very cranky" if you don't sneak a peek at our new site, enter your email address & like us on Facebook! Speaking of cranky, look at the expression on this chi chi's face! A vendors adorable pup...
A snapshot of 1 of  the 3 French Hens.  We loved their stuff & made purchases~

Loved, loved, loved the Rough & Tumble Vintage gal and her great grungy tie dye creations~
I wore my t-shirt dress with denim leggings this week & everyone loved it!
SO WHAT ELSE DID I BUY???
Fun pups that will find their "home" in my dog~themed laundry room

An "Auburn Univ. Orange" Suitcase!
The middle clock..I have a problem~I know!

This fun Folk Art rooster that was once a part of a weather vane!

So, at the end of the day, these 2 cow gals were "plum tuckered out"...& the sweaty brassieres proved how HOT it was in Tennessee...but Bella Rustica Vintage Marketplace was well worth it~

I'm Proud To Be An American!

Dixie Belle, Sassafras & Ruby Fawn celebrating the 4th!
Happy Independence Day! We are so blessed to be born in the great United States of America...and even though our country is going through a lot of "stuff" (The Cranky Queen will not talk politics on her blog), I know that IN GOD WE TRUST will get us back on the right track!
Above is a little "Star Spangle Banner" vignette
to brighten up our gloomy Alabama weather

My fav is the elephant (hint~hint)

The crazed pitcher depicting a ship has been around for a long time.   I am not sure where I found this piece when living in Oklahoma, but I know I have had it for at least 20 years. I have always loved Americana collectibles...

An old Grapico soda bottle serves as a vase for flags

The little sailor girl says a prayer of American thanks
Below are the pics leading up to The Steers' Annual July 4th Pup Pic...

Pic 1: Sassy & Ruby (in wagon) were not quite cooperating!
Pic 2: Our Grand Dog, Sadie, would not sit still for the "group pic"
Pic 3: D.B. decided to howl a little & look like she would chew your leg off
Pic 4: Ok, everyone gets a treat it they all look at the camera all at once!
Pic 5: Finally...the 2013 Annual Steers' Pup Pic

Gals on the Hunt for Junk!!!

Did someone say road trip???  Scott's Antique Market???  Antiques???? Junk??? Treasures??? That is all it took for The Cranky Queen and her royal court to jump in the truck & head on over to
Atlanta, GA a few weekends ago!  What a fun market...

Almost purchased this pink retro stool...but did not really have the "perfect" place to put it...really liking the RETRO look!

Fabulous bench, but the Queen's purse did not contain adequate coins for this beauty!
Window & doors galore!  Salvage Heaven...
I am in love with old mannequins...this one was $75~
These bikes bring back so many memories...The Queen had a bike similar to the yellow one above. Isn't the banana floral seat sooooo COOL?!?
Loved these 3 seats as well! Is the Cranky Queen loving Retro now?
Always time to take a break from shopping for homemade donuts~ YUMMY
Four little Frozen Charlotte's sitting in a row...
they all fell down & have major "bo-bo's"!
I just love these porcelain dolls dug from
old doll factory grounds in Germany...
 If the crown fits....wear it!
This was an awesome display constructed of old metal fencing, a art deco chandelier & a Large metal piece that looked like it came from a piece of farming equipment...Love the rustic, but feminine look of it!
Adorable display! The Queen has 2 mannequins, but may be adding more to her collection. Love this black table~top one with the orange skirt...
Rustic Display...love it!
We celebrated Duchess Melanie's Birthday while we were on our Road Trip. This is the mirror that The Cranky Queen & Baroness Tammy purchased for her as a Happy Birthday Gift!  This vendor was sooooo sweet to pose for a pic!
Gals on the hunt for junk weekend...We like our junk a little on the trashy side!

STAY SAFE & KEEP ON JUNKIN'
