Cancer is no stranger to the royal family... The Cranky Queen lost her dear Daddy to colon cancer in December...Her favorite aunt, Heiress Aunt Carolyn, has been battling ovarian cancer, but currently is winning the fight! So, you can only imagine, The Queen was thrilled when she received a "royal invite" from a beautiful friend, Duchess Stephanie! The Cranky Queen's Mother, Cranky Em, also was an escort to the Shreveport, Louisiana American Cancer Society's Baron's Ball...
These were candles "In Honor" or "In Memory" of our loved ones sponsored by different people. They are "STARS OF HOPE"...

Many legends hung on the wall in the halls of the Municipal Memorial Auditorium...
The 2012 Baron's Ball theme was "Ring of Hope."
Aunt Carolyn made all of the table decorations herself
She also made all of the HOPE signs...

The evening was a success & the hard work of many "paid" off raising funds to help local cancer patients as they battle the disease! A live & silent auction, Gold, Sterling & Silver sponsors, table sponsors & Stars of Hope donations all helped to raise over $100,000.00!

By the end of the evening, we were all "happily" exhausted...As I embraced that moment, I said a little prayer thanking God for my Aunt Carolyn...her will to fight & never give up, her encouragement to family & friends even when she was ill, & her infinite faith are all gifts that I cherish & admire.
STAY CALM & SUPPORT THE CAUSE!
