There Is Rest For The Weary Travelers

Cranky King & Queen raise our glasses in a toast to a wonderful B&B Keeper by the name of Laurie Doyle, owner of Abigail's Grape Leaf Bed & Breakfast in Hermann, Missouri...After the Royal Couple had spent 3 nights in St. Louis, it was time to slow the pace down in the lovely Germantown of Hermann.  Laurie greeted us with a smile, & as we opened the door to our room, we stepped back in time...
The front entrance to our room, The Milliner's Bedchamber Suite
A bed fit for a Queen...even a Cranky One!

This settee was the perfect place to kick up your feet & relax after a long day of traveling!
Don't you just adore the eating area, equipped with everything you would need to feel right at home?  No cleaning, laundry or walking the dog either...
...and the Queen soaked in this tub for a very, very long time~bath bubbles, scented salts, &  floating petals provided...
Cranky King wasn't even "cranky" that he had no shower...rub~a~dub~dub
Because our suite had been a Millinery Shop years ago, the decor was centered around hats.

The room's decor was just breathtaking and Laurie made you feel so welcome.

Breakfast was served on the veranda. The Royal Couple making a Morning Toast!
Laurie is a wonderful cook.  The breakfast was delicious!  Almost to pretty to eat...

...but we did & it was scrumptious!

We would definitely recommend Abigail's Grape Leaf B&B to anyone who would like to spend an enchanted night in a relaxed setting with charm that you cannot find in a hotel...
Information for making reservations: Abigail's Grape Leaf Bed & Breakfast

Hermann is such a quaint town, filled with beautiful homes, antique~gift shops & surrounded by wineries & wonderful restaurants.

Because Laurie was such a sweetheart, welcoming us with open arms, giving us all the information needed for shopping, dining, sight seeing...I made her something special for the Milliner's Bedchamber Suite.

Beautiful little girls showing off their beautiful hats...

I adorned the hanging with various vintage lace, ribbon, old jewelry & buttons.
The background is a dictionary page with "milliner" and "millinery" definitions
I hope that Laurie will enjoy the gift as much as we enjoyed staying at her wonderful B&B!

STAY CALM & RELAX!
Tiffany

I agree with Cranky Crow. That bathtub picture should be a postcard or something. Does he know you shared that? LOL
