Another Angel Got His Wings

Another angel got his wings on Friday, Dec. 9th, 2011.  This is the day that my Daddy was welcomed into the gates of Heaven.  My Mother and I were by his side in their home, when God called him home. He was 77. Daddy went peacefully in his sleep.  No more battling cancer, no more sickness...just pure joy of being healed and walking with our LORD.

Summer of 1971 in Panama City, FL~Daddy did not like the beach, but took Mom & I because he knew that I loved to play in the waves & sand!
                                                                
Dad knew how to laugh!  From a young man to a grandfather.  Although we called him "grumpy" often, he still knew how to laugh out loud!
         


He served his country in the Army as a Ranger.

So to all of my blog friends, say a little prayer for my Mother, Brother and myself as we learn to live without our Father...he will be missed, yet I feel vast comfort knowing he is in Heaven with our Lord & all those love ones that went before him.  I am a Daddy's girl...even at 46 years old...
CHERISH EACH MOMENT WITH YOUR PARENTS!

    Blessings for you and your family... I know your pain as my Daddy got his Angel Wings 12/22/1982 and my Mom 12/13/2008...

    I am so very sorry. I understand your loss very clearly. This is my first Christmas without my dad. He passed away suddenly 3 months ago. Prayers for you and your family.

    Oh Sweet Tiffany - so very sorry to read of this - although, from your last post, I had a suspicion. Praying for that you, your mom, brother, and the rest of the family find peace, comfort and healing in your dear Daddy's memories.     I'm so sorry Tiffany. Both of my precious parents are gone and I miss them SO much. Enjoy the rest of the family and take some comfort in one another and your memories of your dad.

    Blessings to your family. Such a swat tribute to your father. My recently widowed father in law is staying with us for some holiday cheer. We certainly appreciate the importance of parents right now. Thinking of you.

    I'm so sorry for your loss. My father died 27 years ago (when I was in college) shortly before Christmas. He had been so sick (cancer); yet, surprisingly, our Christmas that year was filled with happiness and relief for the end of his suffering and the joyful memories we had of him. I wish for you and your family the same for your first Christmas without your father.
