A Little Birdie Told Me

The Cranky Queen just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Weekend and share her "nesting instincts" for the day...
She adores anything with nests, birds or feathers!
This vignette is "perched" in the middle of my breakfast room table.  The painting is by a good gal pal of mine, Terri Ellis.  Check her out on Etsy "A Drop In the Bucket".  I love the aqua vintage bottle with feathers peeking out & the nest graphic copied from Graphics Fairy inserted in a tiny, metal flower frog.  The nest adds texture & color...
The concrete bird fits perfectly inside the glass cloche.  Notice the cloche's knob is a glass bird also!  Both gifts from my gal pals!  The Cranky Queen has "spring fever" & hopes that this little grouping, nestled on a decorative tray under a vintage hand~stitched bird runner, helps to convince Mother Nature to welcome  a nice spring~like weekend...
STAY CALM & WATCH THE BIRDS!

  3. Oh, how pretty! I love to collect bird things too! I've got them here and there around the house, but I bet if I put them all together for a vignette, that I'd have a pretty neat display! :)

I wanted to let you know that I'm hosting a month-long Giveaway Jubilee beginning March 1st. I know you've hosted giveaways before and thought you might be interested. You can participate as a giver, a (hopefully) winner, or both! Just click on the button at the top right of my sidebar that says "Giveaway Jubilee" for more info.

Hope you have a lovely weekend,
    Sarah

  6. Hey Gal!! Love your birdies!! I am going to have some in my next post! (I make wire nests that I hope to have on Etsy soon) Thanks for stopping by--so great to hear from you!! I've been back in FL again! Just about to vacate my booth at Queen of Hearts shop--down to just doing Etsy now and craving a job again!! We'll see. Don't know about doing any shows (only Bella) this year--definitely not Country Living, after what their promoter put us through!!

  12. When I was young they didn't have "vignettes", we just stuck something in the middle of the table and called it a centerpiece! LOL! I can see now I am going to have update my look! I love it! I need to start gathering stuff for an Easter one. Thanks for the inspiration as always!
