Dinng Room of the Queen!

To Dine?...or Not to Dine?...That is the questions at The Cranky Queen's Castle...See the Queen does not like to cook.  Now her Mamma, Cranky Em, is the best cook East of the Mississippi River...Move over Paula Dean!  Therefore, The Cranky's dine out a lot...But we do have a beautiful dining room which often serves as meetings for friends, crafting, scrap booking, & the occasional homework assignment. So, hence, I will share with you the Royal Dining Room!
The farm table is beautiful made from re-claimed lumber from England.  The chairs salvaged from an antique container and re-upholstered and monogrammed.  Comfy too for us Southerners who need a bit larger chair!
The buffet is French with a collection of Majolica...The painting is by Birmingham, AL artist, Elizabeth Holmes.

Love the details in the door panels & large hinges & hardware

The Green Majolica...so vibrant!

Majolica pieces that sweet friends & my hubby have given me over the years...

The Queen has many "favs", but I have to admit, brown transferware is at the top of the list!  This washstand has brown transferware tiles in the back...and the marble is just fantastic...
Closeups of the vignettes...My mother says I have too much, & who wants to dust all of that stuff?...

but I dust it and The Queen's Philosophy is "the more the merrier!"

When I adopted my poodle-bichon , Sassy, from the Humane Society, my gal pals started this collection for me!

Needlepoint chair with mink
This tile top table was a Mother's Day gift several years ago.

...And Now for the "Royal" Collection of Vintage & Antique Pictures....
I know that typically children lithographs should not be hung in the dining room...but I am the Queen, so I can do what I wish...no complaints from the King yet...

Is she not precious?  Look, she has lost a shoe!
Cranky Em (my Mamma) decided that I needed a family heirloom among my children...so she gave me him.

Antique Fruit Picture...now these do belong in the Dining Room!

Stitches of love from a quilt long forgotten. Framed for us to remember, "our lives may become unraveled"...but you can "hem with prayer".  Thank you Lord for all of YOUR blessings!
Thank you for visiting my home...oh, I mean "Castle"...The tour will continue...Have a wonderful weekend!
STAY CALM & DINE OUT OFTEN!
