When I think of Spring, birds always come to mind...particularly bird's nests. The weather is warming up in "our neck of the woods" & the trees are budding & the birds are singing & flowers are blooming & nests are being made... Above is what I call "my little Logan" with a nest on his head. Can't help but smile!
I found this rusty little bird cage on my last trip heading to Louisiana, in a quaint antique store in Meridian, MS.
I tucked a little nest inside with some branches.
These little guys are "perched" on the top of the cage.
The painting is by a friend of mine, Terri Ellis. Visit her Etsy
shop "A Drop In the Bucket" for whimsical and fun paintings.
"Birds of a feather flock together." I like to tuck different feathers into bottles...
Have a blessed week, & if you are fortunate enough to live in the South, take time to listen to the birds busy making their nests! The Queen Has Flew the Coop!

ReplyDeleteHi Tiffany,
ReplyDeleteI love all the your bird stuff too! I think my favorite are the feathers in the old bottles. That's a very cool, unexpected, perfect look with the cage and nests.
Have fun in the St. Louis area. I live on the opposite side of the state in Kansas City. If you get over this way let me know!

ReplyDeleteHi, Tiff!! Love your springy inspiration! I was just looking at nests in country living. The frozen Charlotte switchplate is en route to California but I'd love to make you one. They are $35 plus shipping. Let me know - I could do creams or whatever color(s) you want!
