The
Cranky King & Queen are planning a "
summer getaway", & need some assistance with finding the "coolest places to see", "greatest backwood junkin' spots", "the most interesting & entertaining", etc...as we travel toward
St. Louis, MO from the Birmingham, AL area. Sooooooooo, we need all blog friends that live in Tennessee or Illinois off
I-24 W or
I-64 W into East Missouri to give us a shout out on anything along the way that may "spark our interest" or "you gotta see this status"
& if you have great trip ideas once we arrive in
St. Louis...we would appreciate the travel knowledge.

Have Car...Will Drive... Brake for Junk!
King Cranky is driving, so a map is required!
Speaking of driving, I convinced King Cranky to escort me to some Estate & Rummage Sales yesterday in Birmingham.
This was his response at first...Can you tell he is a little Cranky? |
But his expression changed to "ecstatic excitement" when I bribed him with a promise to go out to eat & to the movie (X-Men) |
And these are some of the items that we found yesterday & then today when I thrifted solo....

Timeless decoupaged tin & older knives |
White hanging basket & glass coke bottle~Daisies added & ya gotta simple summer bouquet! |
50's Wooden jewelry box, McCoy planter, primitive garden shovel & ceramic egg with a precious verse on it
Rooster cross stitch, mason jar with old dresser hardware, cool enamel fridge bin, denim blue jean frame

KEEP CALM & SEND TRAVEL INFO!
Love the pictures of King A. They gave me my first laugh of the day.
ReplyDeleteThat blue suitcase? It was almost mine. But I left it for you. Seriously, I had it in my hand, considered it, but decided I had too many suitcases I haven't done anything with yet and even a similar blue one, so I didn't get it. I'm glad you got it! Am I going to be jealous that I changed my mind?
Woo Hoo....The King certainly does a good "cranky" - yikes!! ;o) You certainly came up with a bunch of treasures - can't wait to see how you put them to use. Gotta say - you have a ton more creative vision than I do!! Have a wonderfully cranky Sunday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteI love your photos...the girls in the car, priceless. And your hub's cranky face, good one too. THAT is what I would have gotten if I dared to ask....
ReplyDeleteYou scored some good stuff, here is what I say, next time leave grabby home and come get ME...
Have fun on your road trip, and hey...take your camera. xo
