The Graphics Fairy for the perfect bird and egg images; printed on card-stock; cut out; darkened the edge with aging ink; tore pages from an old book (that had seen better days) & used Modge Podge to adhere. I also used a large vintage button & glue green moss & 2 plastic eggs for "a nest look." This chic's flown the coop!
Now it is ready to be priced & "flown" to my booth.
Next the Cranky Queen will give a tutorial making a nest from a vintage crocheted doily. You are getting a "birds eye view"....
1. Saturate the doily in Fabric Stiffener.
2. Cover the bowl with saran wrap to make it easier to pull away from the bowl once it is dry.
3. Place the doily over the bowl.
4. Place another bowl over the doily to help shape.
5. Once dry, remove bowls and the doily looks like this~STIFF
6. I wove a green ribbon thru the holes of the doily; added shredded hymnal paper & green moss for filler; 3 river rocks posed as eggs; old feather from a wedding fountain pen & graphic (Graphics Fairy) of a vintage bird cage.
